Jim Desmond
Jim Desmond is a career security professional and the Chief Security Officer at Elevate, a financial technology firm based in Fort Worth, Texas. He has over 20 years of experience in technology & security leadership with a primary focus on financial services working for such companies as National City Bank (now PNC), Intuit, Merrill Lynch and Vantiv. Jim holds an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, a masters degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University and multiple security certifications including CISSP and CFE. He is an inveterate fan of all Cleveland sports, yes, even the Cleveland Browns.  
 
Brian Drain
Mr. Drain knew as a kid in 1994 when he received his first computer that there was something special about the box that, after a noisy dial-up modem handshake, connected him to the world. Fast forward to 2003, and many keyboards later; Brian put his passion for computers to use in the financial services industry and has been helping business leaders make the most of their IT investments ever since. Before Mr. Drain’s current role as Divisional VP, Information Security Officer at Homebridge Financial Services, Inc., he was VP of Business and Systems Analysis with Prospect Mortgage, LLC., and served as Chief Information Officer for a regional asset management company. He is ISACA Certified in the Governance of Enterprise  IT (CGEIT) and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner certified (CASP).

George Finney
The Information Security team, under the leadership of George Finney, is responsible for implementing and monitoring a diverse security infrastructure to protect the University network and data. The Security team is responsible for recommending security architectures, providing centralized database security, reviewing vendor security, capturing security logs, overseeing security investigations, and managing various security technologies.
 
Elliott Franklin
Elliott Franklin has served the Technology and Security industry for the past 19 years. During this time, he has developed a passion for helping business leaders achieve their goals through innovative and cost effective solutions. In his current role, he serves as the Vice President of Technology for Omni Hotels and Resorts where he leads the Infrastructure and Security teams. Prior to Omni, Elliott served as the Director of Risk and Security for Essilor of America.

Elliott also built the Information Security teams at Whataburger Restaurants, the San Antonio Division of Hospital Corporation of America and Texas State University. While Risk and Security have been his primary roles, he has helped architect and deploy ERP systems, mobile applications and hyper converged data center solutions.

Franklin enjoys giving back to the community through serving on local professional organizations, speaking at conferences and teaching parents and children how to stay safe online and avoiding cyber bullies.

Franklin holds a BBA in Management from Angelo State University and is a CISSP, a CISM and an ISSA Fellow.
 
 
Kevin Peterson
Kevin Peterson is the director or security and network transformation at Zscaler, where he primarily works with the largest cloud security deployments to ensure that the desired business objectives are achieved. He brings with him the advantage of having lead the security efforts for one of McKesson's (Fortune 10) major business units (75 software products, managed services...), as well as the company-wide cloud security strategy, ranging from A to Z (Azure to Zscaler!). As a top practitioner and trusted advisor on both enterprise and cloud security topics, his goal is helping everyone achieve the most effective security with the lowest cost to the business. He is also a featured speaker on the Security Influencers Podcast (available on iTunes), co-author of one information security book, and patent holder on security technologies. And, of course, maintains a presence in the metro Atlanta information security community.
 
Ian Runyon
Ian Runyon is the VP of Product for MOBI, where he oversees the design, development, and execution of solution strategies for MOBI’s clients – a position to which he brings over 10 years of experience in solution architecture and enterprise sales engineering. A graduate of DePauw University with a degree Computer Science and Economics, he is also an alumnus of the Orr Fellowship program, designed to foster young entrepreneurial leaders in the state of Indiana. Outside of MOBI, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, working on technology and design projects, and engaging in the Indianapolis start-up community.
